Harrison Ford's carpentry work eventually landed him his first starring film role. In 1975, George Lucas hired him to read lines for actors auditioning for parts in his Star Wars (1977). Lucas was eventually won over by Ford's portrayal, and cast him as Han Solo. Star Wars became one of the most successful movies of all time worldwide, and established Ford as a superstar.

Ford's status as a leading actor was solidified when he starred as Indiana Jones in the George Lucas/Steven Spielberg collaboration Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).

1960 Sports Illustrated Man of the Year

In 2000, Arnold Palmer was ranked the sixth greatest player of all time in Golf Digest magazine's rankings.

According to Golf Digest, Palmer made $1,861,857 in 734 PGA Tour career starts over 53 years; he earned an estimated $30 million off the course in 2008.

The January 26th event raised over $30,000 which will assist in feeding our community. Our committee is already looking forward to next year's event.

Three more plates have come out of the kiln and they are beautiful! Tyler Glen designed the Star FM plate and even took the time to paint and have it signed by his peers at the station. Well Done Tyler! Curt Shoultz created an artistic rendition of "Harvest Moon". Using rich golds and a strong rim of black, this plate will surely be in demand. Thank you for sharing your talent Curt.
